Stob Dearg, the red peak, stands at the point of the Buachaille Etive Mòr mountain which extends for a distance of about 5 miles down into Glen Etive, Scotland. In the English it is pronounced Stob Jerreg and the mountain as Boo-kill Etive More, which literally translates as 'the big herdsman of etive' or the great shepherd of the glen. It is one of the worlds most photographed mountains. I use this photo as the desktop pic on my macbook - everyone has their favourite photos - this one works for me.
