Usually when I buy stamps I get the plain ones, with a bell or flag (heck I dont even know what is on the thing). It's almost how I feel about getting pretty pictures on my personal checks- do you think the person opening the envelopes at the electric company say, "Hey Bill, look at this beautiful check [or stamp]- let's give him free electric this month!" Admission- I had a stamp collection a a kid and do appreciate and respect philately. Stamps are just the things to get the thing sent. So when I was at the little local post office today in Pine Arizona, I asked for 3 books of stamps. The lady behind the counter asked me what kind I wanted. I smiled, shrugged, and said, "You pick!" Thus I got the Simpsons on my stamps. I am still pondering what that choice meant, or what she saw across the counter (a goofy Homer I am guessing). Actually I am re-thinking my postal strategy. These look fun. I cant wait to send a letter.
