A flock of multi-coloured giraffes will be coming to Christchurch in the summer to raise money for charities and serve as a timely reminder for people to smile. Wild in Art, an organisation specialising in mass appeal public art, has completed similar installations overseas. Christchurch Stands Tall will include 52 differently decorated 2.5-metre high giraffes. While the shape and size of the sculptures will be the same, next week artists and creatives will be invited to submit designs for deoration.
