I got to know the raucous call of the kiskadees very quickly in South Texas. Taken at Salineno, Texas. I read a birder's blog who heard about orioles in Salineno. So he went to the village and waited by the church but didn't see much and he left to go to Falcon Lake. Luckily for me I visited Salineno with two great Flickr buddies, Carlos Escamilla and Butch Ramirez. They took me through the village to the river where there is a feeding area manned by volunteers.
