Left : Caswell Building (Posner Building) 152 W. Wisconsin Ave. Built: 1907 This 7-story office tower was named for Napolean Bonaparte Caswell, a Milwaukee developer. The nine-story adjacent structure was built about 10 years later. The unusually-shaped building, on the corner of Plankinton Ave. and Wisconsin Ave., is covered in white glazed brick. Right ; Empire Building 710 N. Plankinton Ave. Built: 1927 The Empire Building houses the Riverside Theater, and numerous other businesses. It is built of cream colored stone for the first two floors, and tan brick above. Left green dome : Germania Building 135 W. Wells St. Built: 1896 Erected as the home of Die Germania, a widely selling German language newspaper, by George Brumder. For many years it was called the Brumder Building, but the original name now is used.
