Buachaille Etive Mhor, The Great Shepherd of the Glens (known as The Big Boochle), Scotland's, and maybe one of the World's, most photographed mountains, taken from a different perspective just after dawn from Stuc Beinn a'Chrulaiste - the mountain opposite 'The Big Boochle'. To the right are the mountains of Glencoe. I climbed up Beinn a'Chrulaiste the evening before as the weather forecast predicted a warm night with clear skies. Never trust the Scottish weather. Temperature was zero and, since I had planned to sleep rough in the heather at the top of the mountain under the skies, did not take a tent or sleeping bag. My mistake - it was a rough night, overcast, very cold and cloudy. Still the morning views were worth it.
