As I was making my way up the foothills of Skiddaw Fell in the Lake District, an amazing vista of Bassenthwaite Lake and its surrounding fields began to emerge. I always love the intricate network of roads and hedgerows that you can see from afar in places like this. Off in the distance there was a storm brewing, and I wasn't sure if it was going to catch up with me. By the time I took this photo it all but had, and the curtain of rain in this capture took only about two minutes to reach me! When I later processed this HDR image I was so pleased that I had actually captured the rainstorm as I had seen it approaching me.
