I've been going to Hood River for a summer adventure for years now, with only three goals in mind: 1. Become and epic kiteboarder 2. Meet and epic kiteboard babe 3. Find a view of Mt. Hood to take Milky Way shots. Status so far: 1. Debatable 2. Hopeless 3. Got i! I finally found a sweet spot to camp out with Mt. Hood and the good old galactic plane in the same view. It only took about 4 hours of waiting until they were aligned, but there were plenty of shenanigans to be had. The humidity in the valley, lights from Portland, and crystal clear sky over head made for interesting conditions, but I'm totally stoked on em. Some deets: 6 shot vertorama, tried cranking the iso to 8000, and lacking a flash, we had to resort to holding really still and using a flashlight.
