This remnant of the Rigdon Drinking Fountains is located on the Carmel/San Simeon Hwy (Hwy 1) in the vicinity of the tiny community of Lucia. The fountains were constructed by the Conservation Corps in the 1920's to honor State Senator Elmer S. Ridgon of Cambria who was instrumental in securing funding to build the Carmel To San Simeon Hwy.
