The wee gothic kirk (church) on the shores of Loch Achray in the Trossachs, Scotland, with Ben A'an shrouded in mist in the background. The church was built nearly 200 years ago to provide the people of the Trossachs with a place of worship. Previously they held their services in the open air which, given the vagaries of the Scottish weather, must have been challenging, especially during the winter. The church sits on a small knowe overlooking Loch Achray, which has been used as a place of worship for a good wee while - since the 6th century CE.
