Taking the stairs down, up to another level, I see a wall with some paintings on it. And I begin to travel in mind, with my thoughts spreading out the wings, lifting off, circling around me. “What would be?” I ask myself, “What would be, if this wall symbolizes my life, and the painting the meaning I apply to it?” “What could that tell me?” Well, it could tell me, that the meaning of life is not a feature of life itself. It is just like the paint, applied from the outside, from someone. So one must not seek for the meaning of life, as a property within life, which is waiting to be revealed, one rather should give life a meaning, such as the paint gives the wall a new color. So learning to live is like learning to paint. And do not be afraid. Just try to depict with colors you like, and try to create pictures which make you happy when you look at them. Some even just look at pictures from others. Just paint, paint the pictures you want to see and each day, not always with ease, you will progress with your skill. And then again, one only can paint with the colors life spends. But don't forget, that you will not be able to change the wall with your paint, but your paint will change the wall through the picture which you will see on it. Or let us just put it in the words of Anais Nin: "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."
