I don't often shoot vertical photographs, I much prefer landscape format, normally stitched wide landscapes, but for this shot I wanted to capture the cloud layer sitting across Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe, Scotland, with the River Coupall below, and the soft pink light of dawn giving some definition to Stob Dearg, the peak of mountain. I also like the way the pink cloud mirrors the shape of the mountain on the right and the shape of the river almost mirrors the peak of the mountain. Coincidentally, Stob Dearg means the 'Red Peak'.
