Sunrise on Rannoch Moor from Beinn a'Chrulaiste (pro. cruellest). The shoulder of Chrulaiste is on the left and Buachaille Etive Mhor is the mountain on the right with Sron na Creise mid picture. I climbed with a head torch until it became light enough to see. The climb was awkward as the ground which had been soaked from almost 3 weeks of continuous rain had frozen solid after the temperature dipped to -6 degrees, making it a wee bit slippy. Easier on the way up than the way down. I also got caught in a sudden snow blizzard which blasted over the mountain - it only lasted 15 minutes - and it was great to see the morning sun lighting up the flying snow while I sheltered behind a rock with a flask of hot coffee and a packet of Jaffa cakes.
