Scotland's only lake, the Lake of Menteith in the Trossachs area. All the others are Lochs. This has been the worst summer in Scotland for over 30 years. When the sun does shine, we make the most of it. This shot was taken from the wee pier at Port of Menteith where you can catch the boat over to Inchmahome Island and its ancient ruined priory church where Mary, Queen of Scots, took refuge from The English in the 16th Century CE. It was probably raining even then!
