The huge 170m tall Spinnaker Tower dominates the skyline for miles and miles around and it is one of the tallest observation towers outside of London. It was the centre piece of the Gunwharf development in the 2000s and was aimed at turning Portsmouth Harbour into a world class area. The tower has three decks: Deck 1 - 100 m (328 ft) above sea level. This deck has the famous glass floor. Deck 2 - 105 m (344 ft) above sea level. This level is the last level that is accessed by lift as the crows nest is stairs only. This deck also contains the cafe and is avaliable as a wedding venue. Deck 3 (Sky Deck) - 110 m (361ft) above sea level. This has no covered roof and so is open to the elements. It is only accessible by stairs from Deck 2. It is a hugely popular attraction and is well worth visiting due to its views. You can see up to 30 miles in each direction.
