It's a 1979 Porsche 911 SC with less than a 100,000 miles. All original and a little musty from limited use in the last decade. Driving it, you're reminded how far cars have come in the last 30 years, yet how brilliant this one was and still is. The dash is an ergonometric disaster, build quality is like a Kia and many components obviously came out of the Volkswagen parts bin. There's no power steering, gear throws are long and vague and the heater smells ... funny. And yet, none of that matters. The engine is eager and sounds like the soundtrack to Le Mans. And the steering *talks* to you. The faster you go, the better it drives. Just brilliant. It's an old car and not mine, so I didn't drive it all that hard (and vintage 911s have a well earned reputation biting the hand of unskilled or careless drivers). Never really seriously considered a 911, but now I want one.
