This is Milton at Loch Ard narrows in The Trossachs area of Scotland. It is a favourite place for early morning photographers and has been photographed too many times to count. As a consequence I have not stopped at this location for years. On my way to Loch Arklet I noticed the morning glow forming over Ben Lomond in the distance and quickly stopped and set up my camera, regaining my passion for the iconic location. I like the various elements in the photo: the old 'shoogly' wooden pier leading the eye to the boat house in the distance, the old decaying boat left abandoned on the bank, Ben Lomond in the distance, etc.
