I've no tree expert (though my knowledge of shrubs is pretty extensive) but these are the craziest looking Lodgepole Pines I've ever seen! They look nothing like the rest of the Pines around-not even Wikipedia could explain this phenominon. Even the needles weren't sharp or needlelike at all if you could believe that. They are so crazy I just had to share.
