Went hiking with Pierce Martin, Mike, Jon, and David, last weekend up in Estes Park to catch a sunrise/nightscape. Unfortunately, it was crazy windy, and after a full night of snowshoeing we had to turn back about 1/8 mile from our destination at 4am. Couldn't see more than 10 feet, let alone take a picture. But 1/4 mile back down the mountain we did get a chance to try a wool spin, which I've always wanted to do. Mike did the spinning, I did the blind hopeful shooting and these came out. I broke 2 of the legs of my tripod shoving it into the snow. And couldn't see through the frosted vierfinder, so I was pretty surprised these even turned out! Side note-my left big toe is still numb and tingling from the frosty outing. Side effect of all the toe bang from skiing! Totally fun trip, can't wait to do some more overnight photo adventures!
