Early morning looking down the bed of Allt Dearg Mor to the back of Allt Dearg cottage and across Glen Sligachan towards Glamaig. The Red Hills stretch away to the right but Marsco is out of this shot. The path to Glen Brittle and up onto the Cuillin Ridge is just off to the left broadly following the lineof the stream. There wasn't as much water flowing down from Bruach na Frithe and Sgurr nan Gillean (behind the camera) as I would have liked. Indeed, I have never seen Allt Dearg Mor as tranquil as this on previous visits. The last visit before this (October 2015 without my camera) it was a raging torrent and I couldn't have safely got within 3 yards of the position for this shot! As it was, I liked the brooding quality of the watching hills, with Glamaig dwarfing the tiny cottage, and the dark tones of the rocks. You might ask why I would consider travelling 200 miles to Skye and not take my camera: The plain truth is that my gear somehow didn't get packed into the car and we'd reached Tyndrum before I realised LOL.
