I arrived at Bushy Park and met a photographer taking a picture of a toadstool, but he had a lot of gear for fungi photos. I talked to him and he told me he couldn't find the red deer anywhere. I started searching and eventually found the whole herd in one place at the far west of the park. The top stag had all the hinds in his harem and around the outside of the herd were all the other stags. It was an exciting morning with stags trying to get hinds away from the herd without the top stag catching them. But the hinds wanted to be in this harem and always found their way back. He did mate with two hinds which explains the attention of the other stags. I really appreciate that you have viewed this image and in particular, I'm grateful for any favs, invites and comments.
