This picture is of the now derelict original Hardwick Hall built and extended by Bess of Hardwick in the 16c. She built the more famous and complete hall nearby. Loved this picture though because it appeals to my liking for mono shots and the texture and state of the stonework adds to the dilapidation. Framed by the two sets of tress and the typically English washed out white sky made for a nice composition.
