This Moorhen was captured taking a break from feeding its chicks at Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve, Hampshire on the 26 July 2012. In the background you can see an algae bloom starting to colour the water near the edge of the lake. By the end of the day this became very thick making it very difficult for any birds that catch fish. Thank you for visiting, I always appreciate your views, favs, invites and comments.
