This is up a side canyon off of Marble Canyon in Death Valley National Park. I had to hike up a pretty steep slope to get this. From the bottom of the canyon I could see just a sliver of these red rocks. The white covered hill in the background might be snow, or maybe not; I don't remember. Having the little Sony was a great benefit here. Climbing with the D800e would have been difficult. It was hard enough as it was.
