You know, I have walked across almost every bridge in Portland but for some reason I felt extremely unsafe on this one. Maybe because traffic felt uncomfortably close or it could have been my fear of heights (It’s a tall bridge). Perhaps it was both with the inclusion of a high wind. After all, I felt exhausted and banged up due to that strong cold wind. Whatever the case my long trek across the Willamette River was worth the random attacks of panic I suffered.
