This is a Daimler AG hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, based on the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. It has published top speed of 82 mph (132 km/h), but this one may be a little faster. It totally flies. I see it once in a while near the fuel cell research center in West Sacramento. This is the first time I’ve been able to catch the little guy to take a picture. The engineers have some seriously lead feet. Silent, non-polluting and fast - it’s perfect for urban California. Regrettably, this prototype probably costs as much as a large house.
