I saw him eat a fish earlier so, wanting to capture a similar moment, I grabbed my tripod, 100-400 zoom, and got set up. He was across the pond so I wasn’t too worried about spooking him. And so I waited…………and waited……….and waited……and waited some more………and………….nothing. So I snapped this and left. You know, it’s funny; looking at this dude from the front kinda makes him look like an Ostrich. But all you gotta do is look at those eyes and, YUP, it’s a Blue Heron. You know the ones, right? The eyes the size of saucers that say; "I’ve been on a solid meth and caffeine diet for the last two freaking weeks, YAH!!!!!! I’M A MOFO FREAKING GREAT BLUE HERON, don’t MESS with me, man!!!!!" Disclaimer: “MOFO” as in “More Foam”. It has to do with all those Latte’s he’s been drinking. No profanity here, people.
