Sigh. I was able to get Lucky to climb the 4 steps into my house the first night, but he refuses to let me even pull him near there any more. No I can't pick him up (he snapped when I tried) and food is not incentive enough to overcome fear. it's been mild the last few nights (lows in the 40s) so I rigged up a dog den under the deck. with sheets on the side and a few layers of blankets on the bottom. He was cheerful in the morning (wish I could say the same, this is eating me up inside). This won't do tomorrow night, a storm is coming in with snow and temps below freezing. But I have a new plan to give him shelter. I just wish he would hoist his butt up the steps and enjoy the warmth inside.
