One of my favorite things about visiting Hood River is just the "Gorge feel". You've got a huge badass mountain surrounded by vinyards, orchards, and killer mountain bike trails. That all funnels into an epic beach/mountain town that drops into a huge warm (in August, at least) river. At which point the wind starts a blasting. You can bike some of the best trails I've ever found, eat/drink like kings wish they could, then enjoy some epic kiteboarding and windsurfing with a grand view of it all. Just can't be beat. Tough lighting on these shots, wasn't too thrilled with any of them. But I've been trying to get a backdrop of Mt. Hood for the kiteboarders for 2 years now, so here it is! These are from my most recent road trip up there in July this year. I've got backlogs of about 2k photos from here and other trips since July, so I'll likely just be posting random shots from them forever. Happy Tuesday!
