Twin Sisters Trailhead along Red Ridge Road, Potter County, within the Hammersley Wild Area of Susquehannock State Forest. Blazed mostly in neon red (but sporadically blazed in yellow), the trail traverses many hollows, ridges, and steep slopes before joining the orange-blazed Susquehannock Trail just north of Cross Fork. One highlight of the trail is the expansive vista from Elk Lick Knob, where a meadow was created from a long-ago forest fire. The roughly 2-mile stretch of trail between Elk Lick Knob and Red Ridge Road features a mature hemlock–northern hardwood forest, with many impressive stands of black cherries, American beeches, red oaks, and other trees.
