On a whim, Naomi and I drove 35 miles for what looked like it was going to be a lovely sunset at Neist Point, from where the sun sets over Lewis at this time of year. The sunset never materialised but this view of Neist Point and the Lighthouse in the soft evening light was the consolation prize. Neist Point is the most westerly point on Skye, at the tip of the Duirinish peninsula. It commands a spectacular view out over the Minch and across to North & South Uist and Benbecula. Because of its superb location, the lighthouse is one of Scotland's most famous, and a mecca for landscape photographers. (+Lois)
