Long time no see, flickrites. I hope all of you guys have been having a great year so far. This is a composite image / photo illustration made from 5 images, some illustrated mist and a bunch of illustrated lighting. I guess you could call it a dreamscape Last weekend I went out camping at Waiparous. I got pretty drunk on Friday night and when I woke up my friend wanted to go to Margaret lake, so I grabbed my camera and went with him. I was pretty hung over and begrudgingly took about 25 photos. When I got home I realized that about 20 of them were pretty good photos, so I made a couple cool projects to post. The second I looked at the original image I took of the mountains, this was how I saw it in my head.. I thought of a bunch more details I could add to the image to make it tell a specific story/stories. After masking out a bunch of stuff and placing it in the photo and contemplating for a few hours. I came to the conclusion that this time less is more and removed the details. I want the audience to use their own imagination and create their own adventure. I see airships, hang gliders and UFO's. Mountain goats, grizzly bears and Sasquatches. Rock climbers, dirt bikers and cliff divers.
