In my desperate search for kite surfing winds (and a fruitless one at that) I found myself making day trips from Boulder, CO to Lake Mcconaughy, NE. Uncooperative pressure systems aside, I got a chance to try my new telephoto lens and it is SICK!!! I've been shopping all summer for a 70-200 L lens, but the 600$ ebay price left that search pretty fuitless as well. Then I discovered this old-school little number: A Canon 70-210 f4 telephoto. Review here:http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/lenses/70-210mm.htm My first impressions-bad ass. It was only 120 from a guy on Craigslist, and is in better shape than my new lens I bought a year ago. The push-pull zoom is pretty fun, and definitely different. As far as optics go... man this puppy is sharp! Sharper than my 50 mil prime as far as I can tell, and sharper than the raw 70-200 F4 L lens shots I've taken. So if you're a canon guy going for a cheap telephoto look into this baby-its an awesome deal! As always I'm a shoddy contact. Senior Projects 2 grad classes and 2 jobs are kinda killin my favorite hobby. I have about 1400 pics in my 'to edit' folder and haven't even touched my camera in weeks. Happy Friday everyone!
