I shot this the other day and I'm not 100% happy with it. It was underexposed and I was too lazy to re-shoot it. It also looks pretty contrived. It is actually possible to blow smoke hearts, they don't quite look like the one in this photo though. After chain smoking four cigarettes I felt like I was going to throw up. I shot the photo using my Pentax k-30 with a Pentax-A 50 mm 1.7. The photo was lit using a bare Yongnuo 560 II placed a few feet behind and to the right of the subject pointed where the smoke rings would be going and a Yongnuo 460 II at camera left inside a 9" square soft box. The strobes were triggered using a pt-04 trigger/receiver set.
