State Game Land 38, Monroe County. The creek tumbles through a deep, winding gorge as it descends the Pocono Plateau. Throughout the gorge are large rock outcrops thick with moss, as well as jungles of rhododendron and hemlocks. Towering above the creek are a few giant old-growth hemlocks and yellow birches. The upper (northerly) reaches of the gorge contain many cascades, pools, and small waterfalls—nothing spectacular, but scenic nonetheless.
