Large (possibly old-growth) hemlock along Fall Creek, Monroe County, within State Game Land 38. The tree is among a handful of large hemlocks and birches found just upstream from this waterfall. The ravine here is especially narrow, with steep slopes and jumbled piles of glacial erratics. The difficult-to-access terrain may have discouraged logging.
