For today's ds106 Daily Create, which is pretty ethereal: "We have so much to take in that we forget to look in" tdc.ds106.us/tdc1036/ Made a montage of previous photos- Panorama of Grand Canyon (www.flickr.com/photos/cogdog/5738774719/) for backgrund; a photo of my Polaroid camera sitting on my back deck (www.flickr.com/photos/cogdog/5570582660) It had to be stretched and a bit of clone brushing to cover to edges. The sky in the canyon photo was bland, so used quick selection tool and the Filter -> Render Clouds effect for surreal sky. Made a selection of dark parts of reflected photo, and rendered same clouds there, but dropped opacity to make darker. The eye in the lens was copied from my selfie (www.flickr.com/photos/cogdog/4421637150/) using a selection of the lens and Edit Special -> Paste into (and some small brush painting in the mask layer to smooth edges, again, opacity dropped. Obviously in a place like the Grand Canyon we see and try to take it in with these camera devices. If possible, what might the Grand Canyon see in us?
