Ran accross a box of old photos - likely the last "undiscovered" pictures. So much I chucked out. That's okay, just need to shoot more. In 1992, a U.S. Air Force C-5 Galaxy delivered heavy equipment and medical supplies to Ulan Bator, Mongolia, on behest of the U.S. Department of State. This visit was right after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, formerly Mongolia’s major international partner and patron. The country was in the midst of a difficult transition to a market economy and emergence into the larger international world. As Americans, we were quite the curiosity. Everyone was really nice.
