Part of my road trip from Colorado to Oregon, naturally, took me through San Francisco. I wasn't even going to stop by, since it was a few minutes out of the way, then I remembered that I was completele out of pique sauce, from a little place called Sol. So I figured I'd swing over and pick up a few bottles. Afterwards, I decided to check out the Golden Gate riding area and put a few miles on my new bike, and maybe a picture or two if the shot presented itself. (This is actually completely true, I wasn't even considering SF on my list until I remembered the sauce!) Drove up the hills behind the bridge, rode down, then broke my chain and had to walk it back up (yelling at the bike shop dudes in my head the whole while up). But when I got back up top, the sun was setting and there was a cool bank of fog rolling in with what looks like some firey entity driving it on. Was pretty cool! The colors here do not do the sight justice, and I liken it to either something heavenly or apocalyptic eating the land. Pretty cool.
