An unusual shot of the Minster, taken from the 'Quiet Garden' along the side of the West Tower. It quite clearly shows the contrast between the earlier Norman Central Tower, formerly crowned with a spire, and the Perpendicular West Tower, which now houses a peal of 12 Bells, the Tenor weighing 29-2-20 or 1508kg and strikes the note D. The Minster is a well known Dorset landmark and is built on the scale of a Cathedral.
