Pelopidas cf. mathias, Family: Hesperiidae About the flower: The passion flower (Passiflora foetida) is a protocarnivorous plant. It is able to trap insects on its bracts, which exude a sticky substance that also contains digestive enzymes. This minimizes predation on young flowers and fruits. This is a rare shot for me. In my locality, I've never seen butterflies or bees drinking nectar from this flower. It is poisonous and will make this butterfly poisonous too thereby making it unpalatable to its predators.
