My 10mm lens view of Meteor Crater. In the early 1990s, I was a grad student of Sue Kieffer, then with the USGS in Flagstaff. Sue had worked under Gene Shoemaker, who did the groundbreaking (figurtively) geology work on the crater, and Sue's connections got us on a special guided trip to the bottom (it is closed to the public). Apollo 11 astronauts practiced down there. Me too.
