There is a fascinating sequence in the David Attenborough Galapagos series where he shows the changes that iguanas went through to evolve into marine iguanas. They evolved so they could live on sea weed and algae and this meant getting rid of the excess salt in their bodies. The light colour on the top of this male's head is salt which it expelled from its nostrils. Thank you for viewing this image and in particular, thank you for any favs, invites and comments.
