@dailyshoot:2010/03/18: Find something that's so old it's almost timeless and make a photograph of it. #ds123 I have this still strong memory of standing at just about this perspective, with my little bacl shoe perched up on the top of that notch, and my Dad bent over vigorously shining my shoe. He built this box as a kid, back in the 1930s growing up in Newark, NJ, and it was always sitting in our basement. There is something really sweet about that memory of my grown father working to shine my shoes before we went to some family affair that required getting spiffed up. I can't say I learned the craft, and Dad is gone, so I am left with the box, a warm memory, and scuffed shoes.
