Looking up at the coffered dome of the Palace of Fine Arts rotunda. When originally created for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, the ceiling was adorned with murals by Impressionist painter Robert Reid. The current ceiling design dates from the Palace’s major renovations in 1966 and 2004, a faithful reproduction of the original, sans murals.
