I was at my grandmas house for Christmas and I was starting my moms car for her and when I turned around this little deer had creeped up right behind me. As I walked into the back yard, I asked it if it was coming and sure enough it followed me into the back yard. So I went into the house and grabbed my camera and took some pictures. I've seen deer plenty of times before, but this was the first time I had ever got close enough I could have reached out and pet it if I wanted to without the deer running away. Apparently these deer are part of the community and have no fear of humans. The doe was scavenging through the yard looking for food and seemed more focused on that than it did on me. To get the dear to pose and look at me all I had to do was gently stomp my foot and it would pop its head up and look at me. I took at least 30 photos and got at least a dozen nice ones out of the deal.
