It is also the name of a family of Carnivorous plants. The latter is what Artist Dan Corson has fashioned his collection of solar-powered fiberglass street lights from. These 17-foot tall curvaceous and colorful sculptures line NW Davis Street in Portland’s China Town. Each street lamp contains solar cells and batteries that take in energy in the daytime and allow them to glow after dark. The time on changes with the season, about an hour after sundown.
