Portinscale Village sitting between Derwent Water in the foreground and Bassenthwaite Lake behind. Skiddaw is off to the right and the heat haze stopped me getting a decent shot. This scene was taken from high above Ashness Bridge on 20/09/2016. Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake look quite close but it's about 4 miles from the Marina to the bottom of Bassenthwaite. The Lake District National Park, Cumbria, North West England.
