At the top of Stob Beinn a'Chrulaiste in Glencoe, Scotland is a small lochan which, at this time of year, aligns with the rising sun in the West Highlands. My daughter and I climbed Beinn a'Chrulaiste to watch the sun rise over the mountains. It may not look like it but these snow drifts are thigh deep. Down below at Altnafeadh my car temperature gauge gave a reading of minus 8, up top with the wind chill it was a wee bit colder. After taking this photo we sat on the edge of the Stob with a flask of hot coffee and a packet of jaffa cakes watching the world go by. A perfect morning. I put a photo of my daughter standing in the deep snow drifts on my Instagram page.
