The black redstart family nesting near my lodge became something of a soap opera. At first the male was attentive bringing in lots of food for the nestlings. He then started to bring less to the nest but spent a good amount of time singing. The female was meantime working really hard to feed the family. Then a new female came on the scene and despite a tussle between the females, the male started a new nest and left this female to bring up the brood. I really appreciate the time that you have taken time to view this image and I'm grateful for any favs, invites and comments.
